Pertti Palmroth stands for high quality products made with Finnish
expertise. The Pertti Palmroth Shoe Manufacturers honour the traditions
of the past.
The collection consists of shoes, boots and handbags for modern and
sophisticated women, who value high quality, design and comfort.
Pertti Palmroth boots have been known for luxurious materials and
fashionable designs for many decades. Today, the focus is on exclusive
footwear made of soft leathers and warm lamb skins along with the famous
all-weather boots.
The Pertti Palmroth -products are manufactured in own production units
in Finland. Company’s factories locate in Tampere and Virrat. The
majority of the products are exported – the largest export countries are
Scandinavia, USA, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and increasingly
Russia.
The shoemaking process is more complex that one could imagine. It
takes nearly 200 phases to make one pair of Pertti Palmroth footwear –
most of them are handmade. This is one of the reasons why Pertti
Palmroth -footwear are made in Finland – under strict quality control.
Pertti Palmroth -products are made in two factories owned by the
company. the company distinguishes itself by offering quality, that can
be achieved only by monitoring every production phase in own production
units. Pertti Palmroth Shoe Manufacturers has two separate production
units, which are presented in the text below:
Sarankulma, Tampere, Finland
The Sarankulma factory is the company’s main place of business, where
the company´s core products – shoes and boots - are manufactured. The
company’s sole production operations where also moved to the Sarankulma
factory from Pirkkala in 2005. In addition to the footwear and sole
making, Sarankulma offers facilities to the company’s administration.
Sarankulma factory was built in 1976 and its current production capacity
is approximately 700 pairs of shoes per day.
Virrat, Finland
The Virrat factory was acquired in 1998. It produces Pertti Palmroth
bags and shoe uppers, which are used in the shoe manufacturing process.
The Virrat factory’s current production capacity is around 100 bags per
day.
Family business
Pertti Palmroth is an internationally valued brand with 80 years of
tradition in shoe manufacturing. Pertti and Hannele Palmroth work
together as main designers of the company. Today, the 3rd Palmroth
generation continues the traditions of the family business. Mikko
and Petrina Palmroth have been working several years in the company.
Pertti Palmroth employs altogether over 180 employees in Finland.
